Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and motivated Part-Time Social Media Coordinator to join our marketing team. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for social media, with an outgoing personality and an interest in home building and design. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our social media presence and engaging with our audience, before, during and after construction, helping to build our brand online. This position will also work on developing local relationships with businesses near O+E communities to increase brand awareness and develop potential partnerships for special offers.


Key Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to develop a social media plan and social media editorial calendar across all social platforms for the Indiana and Ohio Markets.

  • Create compelling and visually appealing content, including photos, videos, graphics, and written copy, to showcase homes, communities, amenities, and special promotions.

  • Collaborate with Onyx+East Sales team and marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Schedule and post content regularly.

  • Monitor social media trends and insights to optimize content.

  • Engage with followers and respond to queries in a timely manner.

  • Organize and maintain photos of Indiana and Ohio communities, construction photos, and events.

  • Remain current and knowledgeable on social trends.

Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Familiarity with Meta, Instagram analytics.
  • Part 107 certification and knowledge of FAA rules for drone usage (or willing to get)
  • Proficient in digital photography and videography to create captivating content for social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing company/third-party accounts on various social media platforms – Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram.
  • Excellent grammar, creative writing, proofreading, and document formatting skills.
  • Ability to create visually appealing content.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software
  • Strong interest and desire to participate in the local community and visit project sites to understand the context of the project and connect with local businesses.
  • Knowledge or experience in real estate and/or home building is a plus.
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles, knowledge and passion for technology and social media in a business environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Prioritize assignments and meet deadlines at the direction of the O+E Marketing Manager


  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Experience with social media management tools.
  • Graphic design skills are beneficial but not required.

Work Environment:

  • Frequently requires standing and walking.
  • Must have consistent access to car/transportation for project travel throughout Greater Indianapolis and Ohio.

Estimated hours: 10-15hrs/week.
