Herron-Morton Place is one of Indianapolis' most treasured neighborhoods. Once a home to Union Army recruits and then Confederate Army prisoners, Herron-Morton's history is as interesting as its architecture. Recently, Onyx+East announced their new headquarters and a new townhome community. Both located at 19th and Central in Herron-Morton. Tinner Park in Herron-Morton will be under constuction this Spring. 18 new townhomes and 6 condos will sit on the land once owned by Thomas McQuat (a Tinsmith) and his family in the mid 1800's. To honor the history of this area and the McQuat family, several townhomes will lline a new road, called McQuat Place. Read more about the history of Herron-Morton Place here.
